Central Oregon
Community Investment Board
The Central Oregon Community Investment Board (COCIB) was created in 1988 through an agreement between the counties of Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson. The Board’s purpose is to develop a regional investment strategy, and to award Regional and Rural Investment dollars to support community and economic development projects throughout the region.
COCIB meetings will be held at the COIC administrative office in Redmond (2363 SW Glacier Place). All COCIB meetings are open to public attendance and any member of the public may attend any meeting. The public is encouraged to participate at the appropriate time on the meeting agenda.

2008 Community & Economic Development Grant Program
The Central Oregon Community Investment Board has received funds from the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department to distribute through economic development grants within Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties. Due to limited funding availability and specific job creation requirements, only projects proposed or endorsed by Central Oregon cities, counties, and tribes are eligible for COCIB grants during this funding round.
COCIB has $120,000 available through this grant program for 2008 and 2009. Typical grant amounts are in the $10,000 to $40,000 range.
To be considered at the September 4, 2008 meeting, completed applications must be returned no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2008
